You can still experience the joys of diving in the clear blue waters of Key Largo without being a certified diver. As our most popular class, the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program draws people from all over the world because it is fun, safe, and open to people of all backgrounds – you just need to be able to swim!
The Discover Scuba Diving program allows you to experience the thrill of scuba diving under the direct supervision of a professional scuba instructor. It begins in the comfort of a swimming pool where you learn basic skills and feel comfortable with your equipment. That same afternoon, complete two dives in pristine Key Largo, where we often see turtles, rays, grouper, lobster, parrotfish, angelfish, cats, eels, lots of corals, and the occasional dolphin.
Your fun-filled day begins with a meeting at 8:30 a.m. at our store located in Wilton Manors to meet with the team, complete necessary paperwork and watch an informational video. After getting ready, we head to the pool and then leave for Key Largo’s John Pennekamp Marine Sanctuary where you will experience the euphoria of your first ocean dives with a PADI certified instructor by your side, guiding you at all times.
Prerequisites: swimsuit, towel, the ability to swim and sense of adventure.
If there is someone in your group who would like to join you but not take the Discover Scuba class, he or she can come in the same boat that you will be in for only $ 75. For more information on our snorkeling excursions, click here.

Requirements
Reservations are required.
You must be able to swim to take this class.
You will not receive a refund if you book a class and cannot swim.
The Discover Scuba Diving form must be completed.
If there is an affirmative answer to any of the medical questions, you must get a doctor’s approval BEFORE you take the class.
Minimum age is 12 years.
Children under 18 years of age need the approval and signature of their parents or guardians.
This fun-filled day costs $ 249.00 per person plus tax and covers everything you will need for the day, including equipment and transportation. Private and group rates are also available. We do not provide lunch; however, we stop on the way to the Keys to give everyone a chance to get food and drinks for the boat trip.
For the many people who get hooked on diving after this incredible experience, we are offering a $ 50 discount for our open water class after taking our Discover Scuba class.
In the event that ocean conditions become unsuitable after the pool session has taken place, preventing you from doing the open water dives that day and you will not be able to reschedule, you will be reimbursed all but $ 50 to cover the cost of the session in the pool. We also offer the open water dives at Jules Lagoon or Tiger Tail as a bad weather option.
